Crankcase
CEANKCASE SEPARATION
Remove the cam chain adjuster by removing the
bolt.
Remove the cam chain.
Remove the nine crankcase attaching bolts.
Remove the crankcase with the left side
crankcase down and remove the right
crankcase.
CAUTION
◦ Never pry the crankcase mating surfaces apart.
Remove the gasket and dowel pins.
Remove the crankshaft from the left crankcase.
Remove the oil pipe from the right crankcase by
removing the bolt.
Check the oil seal for wear or damage.
Replace the oil seal if necessary.
