COMMAND:
SET SYSTEM MODE OF OPERATION
MODE= AAAAA
FORMAT:
The MODE= command sets the NAV 2000R mode of operation. It is equivalent to pressing the front
panel mode select keys. The ASCII argument specified will determine the mode to be set. The valid
modes of operation selectable remotely are: VOR, VORa, LOC, LOCa, G/S, MKR, COM [M], and EMM.
COMMAND:
RETURN CURRENT SYSTEM MODE OF OPERATION
MODE? (AAAAAA)
FORMAT:
The MODE? command returns the present NAV 2000R mode of operation. The operational mode is
returned using an ASCII string of characters. The system may return; VOR, VORa, LOC, LOCa, G/S,
MKR, COM, EMM, CAL, or TEST.
COMMAND:
RETURN FATAL ERROR STATUS
FERR? (HHHH)
FORMAT:
The FERR? command returns the NAV 2000R's fatal error status word. Bits within this word indicate
certain fatal error conditions. A logic one (1) in the defined bits of the binary conversion of the
hexadecimal number indicate:
BIT 0: HOST ROM FAILURE
BIT 1: HOST RAM FAILURE
BIT 2: HOST FLASH EPROM FAILURE
BIT 3: HOST SETUPS REGISTER FAILURE (BATTERY RAM)
BIT 4: HOST NONVOLATILE RAM FAILURE (BATTERY RAM)
BIT 5: Not defined
BIT 6: Not defined
BIT 7: Not defined
BIT 8: DSP RAM FAILURE
BIT 9: DSP BUS INTERFACE FAILURE
BIT 10: DSP BOOT FAILURE
BIT 11: DSP SINE LOOKUP ROM FAILURE
BIT 12: MODULATOR BUS INTERFACE FAILURE
BIT 13: RF GENERATOR #1 BUS INTERFACE FAILURE
BIT 14: Not defined
BIT 15: Not defined
COMMAND:
RESET REVERSE POWER PROTECTION CIRCUIT
RPP RESET
FORMAT:
The RPP RESET command resets the reverse power protection module if it has been tripped.
COMMAND:
ENABLE FRONT PANEL CONTROL
LOCAL
FORMAT:
Execution of the LOCAL command cancels REMOTE only operation. This re-enables user front panel
control by unlocking the front panel keys. Remote commands are allowed during local operation of NAV
2000R. The system automatically forces remote operation with any command sent to the NAV 2000R.
COMMAND:
SET ALL SETTINGS TO FACTORY DEFAULT VALUES
DEFAULT
FORMAT:
The DEFAULT command forces the NAV 2000R to reset all data values to the default factory settings.
All previously set data is lost upon execution of this command. Also EM
