Management Methods

The GSM2109/1009 switch series supports following management methods:

Console and Telnet Management

Web-based Management
SNMP Network Management
3.3.1 Console and Telnet Management
Console Management is done through the RS-232 Console Port. Use the RS-232 cable
supplied in your package to connect directly to a workstation from your switch. Use the
default IP 192.168.16.1 to use Telnet or Web Management to login to the switch and
modify the configuration.
Waters Network Systems
DHCP Client, DHCP relay and DHCP Server.
DHCP server provides port based and system based IP pool.
Broadcast storm packet filter by 5%, 10%, 15% and 25%.
Provide 1000 log entries and supports remote storage
function.
Supports DNS client function.
Supports RFC2030 Simple Network Time Protocol and up to 5
NTP servers.
6 mail accounts.
TFTP firmware upgradeable
Support binary format configuration file for system quick
configuration.
IEEE802.1d Spanning tree
IEEE802.1w Rapid spanning tree
