FRONT FORK

INSPECTION

1. Inspect:
• The inner tube
Scratching / Deformations
s WARNING
s
Do not try to straighten the inner tube if this
is bent, as it could be dangerously weake-
ned.
• Outer tube
Scratching / Deformations / Damage
Replace
• Fork spring
If this exceeds the limit specified
Replace
Free height of the fork spring:
(limit): 508 mm
2. Inspect:
• The damper rod
Wear / Damage
Dirt Blow all the items with compres-
sed air
3. Inspect:
• The O ring (of the plug)
• The tapered spindle
Damage

ASSEMBLY

Apply the same procedure as for "DISMAN-
TLING" but inversely.
Take into account the following points.
