3. Click "OK" in the screen above. The present counter value will be read out from
EEPROM and will be indicated as shown below.

4. If the counter value reaches 25000 points, replace the Waste Ink Pad (Ink Absorber)
and clear the protection counter. The procedure to clear the protection counter is
described in step 5.
5. Click "Previous" in the screen in Figure 5-32. The screen goes back to "Protection
counter check/clear" menu (Figure 5-30). Then select "Clear the protection counter
values" and click "OK". The following screen appears.
6. Click "OK" in the screen above. Protection counter value will be cleared.
