Keep the bilge area clean and free from debris that could clog ports or inhibit float movement. Also, keep the
battery (starboard) that provides power to the bilge pump charged. If the battery is not charged and flooding
occurs, the boat could swamp causing damage and possible loss of life or property.

Raw Water Washdown Pump

The washdown pump is mounted on the starboard aft stringer and is equipped with a pressure switch. This pump
shares the same seacock with the baitwell pump and is accessible via the bilge hatch.
Before operating the washdown pump, make sure that the seacock at the baitwell
pump is in the open position before turning on the pump. The seacock is wide open
when the seacock lever is in the vertical position. When the seacock lever is in the
horizontal position, the seacock is closed. The seacock should remain closed when
the baitwell and/or washdown pumps are not in use.
To turn on the washdown pump, locate the washdown switch on the instrument panel
and press the switch to the forward position. If you turn on the washdown pump
switch and you do not feel pressure, the seacock may not be open. Verify that the
seacock is open and depress the switch again. When not in use, the washdown
switch should be left in the off (down or aft) position.
The round filter (not visible in this photo) attached to the side of the washdown pump
should be removed and cleaned often with running water.
The raw water washdown hose is located in a compartment on the
starboard side of the helm seat. When the washdown pump is on,
twist the nozzle on the end of the hose to turn the water on and off
and check to see if the washdown sprays.
You can adjust the
pressure or stream of the spray by turning the nozzle clockwise for a
tighter stream or counterclockwise for more of a spray pattern.
After checking for water and before returning the washdown hose to the storage compartment, turn off the
washdown pump at the helm to release the water pressure in the hose. Twisting the hose clockwise allows you to
easily stow the hose away.
Fish Boxes with Macerator Pumps (Forward and Aft)
Your boat is equipped with 1 forward and 2 aft fish boxes with a combined capacity of 143 gallons. The large fish
box on the forward casting deck has a capacity of 113 gallons and is plumbed to a forward fish box pump. This
forward fish box pump is installed below the floor hatch located forward of the seat on the front of the console.
The port and starboard fish boxes in the aft cockpit area each have a 15-gallons capacity and they are both
plumbed to an aft fish box pump that is installed below the floor hatch over the aft bilge area.
The fish box macerator pumps are each equipped with an automatic float switch. These two pumps drain the fish
boxes and/or macerate any fish particles. As the fish boxes drain, water and/or debris travel to the collector box
attached to the pump and then to the fish box macerator pump which pumps the water and/or debris overboard.
