Chapter 3. Installation

Starting ACD Viewer

1. Click the Windows Start button, and then click on Programs >
2. Enter the User Name and Password.

Installing the Agent View Software

This procedure can be used to install the Agent View software on the
Windows NT Host PC or on a client PC.
1. If installing Agent View in the Windows NT Host PC, log in using an
2. Insert the ACD Viewer CD-ROM in the CD drive. After a few seconds,
3. Click Agent View.
4. Install shield will display a series of dialog boxes.
5. Agent View installation will provide progress reports.
6. The Agent View installer does not usually require you to restart the PC.

The default User Name and Password is Administrator.
Note: An Administrator must use ACD Viewer to add Agent's names and
passwords, before Agents can sign on to Agent View. (ACD Viewer Menu \
Configure \ Users)

a. Welcome Dialog – Urges you to exit any open programs.
b. License Agreement dialog – Please read and acknowledge the license
agreement.
c. Choose Destination Location dialog – the default location for ACD
Viewer application is in C:\ Program Files\SMD\ACD folder.
However, if you are installing on the Windows NT Host PC and have
not shut down and restarted the PC since loading the MIS Server
application or ACD Viewer, reboot the PC now.
