3.5.22.2. Sub Fuser Fan Motor Control Circuit
The SUBFNERR is used for detecting whether the sub fuser fan motor is rotating or not. When the sub fuser fan motor is not
rotating properly, the detecting signal is a high. This signal is inputted into pin102 of IC14 (ASIC). IC1 (CPU) receives this
information through IC14 and displays the call service code "Printer Error 50" on the LCD display.
The signal SUBFNCTL is for controlling the rotation speed of sub fuser fan motor. During the printing, this signal is the high, turning
on the transistors Q44 and Q45. As a result, the sub fuser fan motor rotates the high speed because the 24V power is supplied
to the fuser fan motor. At the standby or preheating, this signal is the low, turning off the transistors Q44 and Q45. As a result, the
sub fuser fan motor rotates the low speed because the power that is supplied to the sub fuser fan motor is reduced from the 24V
to approximately +19V.
3.5.22.3. Power Supply Fan Motor Control Circuit
The PSFNERR is used for detecting whether the PSU fan motor is rotating or not. When the PSU fan motor is not rotating properly,
the detecting signal is a high. This signal is inputted into pin 60 of IC14 (ASIC). IC1 (CPU) receives this information through IC14
and displays the call service code "Printer Error 53" on the LCD display.
The signal PSFNCTL is for controlling the rotation speed of power supply fan motor. During the printing, this signal is the high,
turning on the transistors Q42 and Q43. As a result, the power supply fan motor rotates the high speed because the 24V power
is supplied to the fuser fan motor. At the standby or preheating, this signal is the low, turning off the transistors Q42 and Q43. As
a result, the power supply fan motor rotates the low speed because the power that is supplied to the power supply fan motor is
reduced from the 24V to approximately +19V.
