3.3.2.
Engine Control Reset Circuit
This reset circuit is used for resetting IC1 (CPU), IC14 (ASIC) and IC4 (Flash ROM) on the engine control board. The reset signal
is provided by the reset IC3 with the voltage regulator on the engine control board. When +3.3V is supplied, the voltage at point
(A) rises from 0V to +3.3V. After the voltage at point (A) exceeds +2.7V, a low level reset signal RST is provided form pin 4 of Reset
IC3 to CPU IC1 (pin 79) and ASIC IC14 (pin 299) and Flash ROM IC4 (pin 12) for approximately 50 msec. This reset signal is also
provided to the printer main control board through the printer control board interface connector CN38 (pin 1) for the information of
engine power condition.
The reset IC3 as voltage regulator generates the +2.5V from the +5V power (VDD) and supplies it from pin 1 (VOUT) to IC14
(LVDD1-11).
