RGB INPUT LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
Purpose:
To set the optimum RGB signal level.
Symptom of Misadjustment:
The picture will be too light or too dark.

Oscilloscope, Monitor P.C.B.,
XGA Color PC Monitor,
PC(2), Test Pattern Signal
Note:
TP1, TP4, TP5: Monitor P.C.B.
Test Pattern Signal:
• Gray Scale Pattern Signal (3 scales): "4 3 Division" in "Bar Reverse"
• Gray Scale Pattern Signal (16 scales): "1 White 16 grade (Horiz)"
in "Bar Reverse"
1. Set the unit into Service Position (1).
2. Connect the PC(2) to the RGB Input 1 Terminal with the
RGB cable.
3. Set to RGB 1 mode by pressing TV/VIDEO key on the
remote.
4. Supply Gray Scale Pattern Signal (3 scales).
5. Connect the Oscilloscope to TP4 on the Monitor P.C.B.
6. Press CH UP/DOWN key on the remote to select "BRIGHT
G" in the Video ADJ menu of Factory Adjust Mode.
7. Adjust "BRIGHT G" by pressing VOLUME UP/DOWN key
on the remote so that the Black Level becomes the same
as Blanking Level.

8. Press CH UP/DOWN key on the remote to select "Level G"
in the Video ADJ menu of Factory Adjust Mode. OSD White
will appear automatically.

9. Adjust "LEVEL G" by pressing VOLUME UP/DOWN key on
the remote so that the White Level becomes the same as
OSD White Level.

9. Connect the Oscilloscope to TP1 on the Monitor P.C.B.
10. Press CH UP/DOWN key on the remote to select "BRIGHT
R" in the Video ADJ menu of Factory Adjust Mode.
