HOW TO DETERMINE IF THE DTV TUNER UNIT IS DEFECTIVE
NO OSD
Disconnect all connector cables on the TV/Tuner Unit, then take out the TV/Tuner Unit from the unit.
Or, place the unit in Service Position (1).
Refer to DTV Tuner Unit Service Position, Figure A or B.
Connect the cable from the antenna or cable system to the ANTENNA (A) terminal of the DTV Tuner Unit.
Press MENU button on the remote. Menu (OSD) is not displayed.
Are there V-sync and H-sync signal at the
following points on the Tuner C.B.A.?
P7007(Pin 39)
P7007(Pin 19)
Are there OSD signal at the following points
on the Tuner C.B.A.?
P7007(Pin 25)
P7007(Pin 27)
P7007(Pin 29)
P7007(Pin 21)
P7007(Pin 23)
Note:
OSD-YM signal will be output only when
pressing the RECALL key.
Replace the DTV Tuner Unit.
Picture is displayed,
Menu (OSD) is NOT displayed
Are there V-sync and H-sync signal at the
following points IC5604 on the Main

: V-sync C.B.A.?
: H-sync
OK
Check the V-sync and H-sync signal lines
between P7007 on the Tuner C.B.A. and
IC5604 on the Main C.B.A.
Are there OSD signal at the following
points on the Tuner C.B.A.?
OK
: OSD-R

: OSD-G
WF188
: OSD-B
WF189
: OSD-YS
WF174
: OSD-YM
WF175
Check OSD (R, G, B, YS, YM) signal
lines between P7007 and P7004 on the
Tuner C.B.A.
