Some types of projectors do not respond to the search feature and must be
added manually. Also, a projector must be on the same subnet as your
computer to be found automatically. See
Manually.
After adding a projector, you can place it into a group. For more information
about groups, see

3.3.1 Search for Projectors

To add projectors to the configuration by searching for projectors, click
Add Projectors. The Device Search dialog box appears.

To search all ports for devices, select the Search All Ports option. To
search on a specific port, clear the Search All Ports option and specify
the port in the Port field. Ensure that this field matches the port
specified on the projectors. Remember the following:
Listed projectors that are not responding to Ethernet communication
will be noted with a COMM ERROR warning.

For PowerTool to detect projectors, they must be plugged into the
network.
Only connected projectors that are on the same subnet will be
listed, as defined by your subnet mask.
The wrong port has been specified for the projector(s).
Network traffic may be high.
The projector may not be working properly.
Auto detection may fail if some of the projectors have duplicate
