clearance. Replace the part that exhibits the most wear.

5. Measure the crankshaft oil clearance.
a.
Lay
a strip of plastigauge across the journal or crank
pin, but not over the oil hole.
b. Tighten the crankshaft bearing cap and connecting
rod bearing cap bolts to the specified torque.
