1. Mount the cylinder head, while supporting it in an
appropriate holder, to allow for the removal ofthe valve
springs, valves and guides as needed.
2. Be sure to fully slacken the adjusting screws
first.
Then,
remove the valve rocker shaft.
3. Remove the flange bolt for camshaft thrust ring.
4. Remove the camshaft. Using a wooden dowel placed
at the rear end of the camshaft, drive out the camshaft
by tapping it with a hammer.
CAUTION
Exercise care when removing the camshaft to
avoid damaging the bearing journals or cam lobe
surfaces of the camshaft.
