7. Check the crankshaft's thrust clearance with a feeler gauge
as shown in the figure. If it exceeds the allowable limit,
replace the thrust washer.
Specified Limit
0.0008 - 0.0087 in. (0.02 - 0.22 mm)
Allowable Limit
0.0118 in. (0.30 mm)
Kinds of Thrust Washers:
Standard Repair
0.0764 - 0.0783 in. (1.940 - 1.990 mm)
Oversize 0.0049 in. (0.125 mm)
0.0813 - 0.0833 in. (2.065 - 2.115 mm)
Oversize 0.0098 in. (0.250 mm)
0.0862 - 0.0882 in. (2.190 - 2.240 mm)
Checking the Camshaft
1. Check the camshaft for cracks, wear or damage and replace it if necessary.
2. Measure the runout. If it exceeds the allowable limit, replace the camshaft.
Allowable Limit of Runout: 0.0012 (0.03 mm)
3. Measure the camshaft's lobe height. Replace the camshaft
if the wear limit is exceeded.
Cam Lobe Height, Specified Limit:
4.5KWBCG
IN: 1.3858 -1.3913 in.
(35.20 - 35.34 mm)
EX:
1.3835 - 1.3890 in.

Allowable Limit:
(34.93 - 35.07 mm)
