6. Remove the oil pump (1) and oil seal retainer (2).
7. Remove the connecting rod cap bolts. Detach the
connecting rod cap. Push the connecting rod and
piston assembly upward out the top of the cylinder
block.
NOTE: Temporarily assemble the connecting rod
and cap so as not to disturb the correct combina-
tion.
8. Remove the crankshaft bearing cap.
9. Remove the crankshaft.
