Print Quality Problems

If your labels are not being printed properly, check the following table to locate
the symptom and correct the problem.
Symptom
Cause
Blotches on labels.
Dirty printhead.
Dirty paper path.
Poor quality label or ribbon stock.
Labels are not
Label Rest Point command

Troubleshooting
Solution
Clean the printhead. See "Cleaning the
Printhead" in Chapter 3.
Clean the paper path. See "Cleaning the
Media Path" in Chapter 3.
Contact your Intermec representative for
suggestions on proper media or ribbons for
your printing requirements.
Adjust the Label Rest Point. See "Adjusting
the Label Rest Point" in Chapter 2.
To bypass security levels, turn off the printer,
press and hold Feed/Reload, and then turn
on the printer
Reset Forms Adjust. See "Using the X and Y
Forms Adjust" in Chapter 2.
Try changing the Dark Adjust menu panel
setting. See "Setting the Dark Adjust" in
Chapter 2.
Clean the printhead. See "Cleaning the
Printhead" in Chapter 3.
Contact your Intermec representative for
suggestions on proper media or ribbons for
your printing requirements.
