Cleaning the Scanner

Do not remove any covers or screws other than those
specified In this manual Some parts of the machine are at a
high voltage and could give you an electric shock. When the
machine needs to be checked, adjusted, or repaired,
conMct your seryice representatives.
Do not take apart or attempt any modifications to this
machine. There Is a risk of fire, electric shock, explosion or
loss of sight.
Caution
When you pull out the plug from the socket, gnp the plug to
avoid damaglng the cord and causing f~re or electnc shock

FLrst, wipe away any dLrt with a dry, soft cloth If the dLrt cannot be removed with a dry cloth,
moisten a soft cloth w~th water, wnng ~t out thoroughly, and then w~pe away the dLrt If water Is
not sufficient to remove the chrt, rope off the dm w~th a mild detergent soluuon, then rope the
detergent away wtth water, and then wipe the area w~th a dry cloth until all moisture has been
removed

Do not use volatile chenncals such as benzene or paint thinner to clean the scanner, and do
not spray insect sprays, etc, on the scanner Such chemicals could deform, &scolor, or
crack scanner components
If there ~s any dust or chrt mslde the scanner, wipe ~t away w~th a dry, clean cloth
