If these are not the reasons why you cannot manage the device, please contact us for
technical support.

9.7. Device cannot be configured through CONSOLE

If the device cannot be configured through CONSOLE, please check the followings:
a. Check that proper cable is used to connect to CONSOLE.
b. Check the configuration of Hyper Terminal (refer to appendix A: How to user
Hyper Terminal)
c. Check the DIP-switches and set the Console control bit ON (the second bit).
d. In Hyper Terminal press M to display the menu if ENTER is not effective.
e. When you press the ENTER, light of serial interface Tx will lighten and this
indicates that RC3000 receives data normally. Otherwise check other
configuration.
f. Check serial interface
If these are not the reasons why you cannot configure the device, please contact us for
technical support.

9.8. Memory information loss

If the information saved in memory lost after RC3000 running for some time, check
whether EEPROM can save data normally, if not, bring the device back to Raisecom for
maintenance.

9.9. Display of device is abnormal

When RC3000 cannot display alarms correctly, check the followings:
a. Device voltage ripple is too high and voltage of MCU is not stable, so there is
errorof program data. In this status please try to power on the device again.
b. Equipments inside the device is destroyed, in this status you should bring the
device back to Raisecom for repair.

9.10. Forget the password

When forget your password, you must bring the device back to Raisecom for password
updating.
