6. Ignition coil resistance
S Disconnect the ignition coil connector from
the wireharness.
S Connect the pocket tester (
ignition coil.
S Check if the primary coil has the specified re-
sistance.
Primary coil resistance:
3.6 X 4.8
S Connect the pocket tester (
ignition coil.
S Check the secondary has the specified re-
sistance.
Secondary coil resistance:
10.7 X 14.5 k (20_C)

IGNITION SYSTEM
Tester (+) lead !
Red/White Terminal
Tester (–) lead !
Orange Terminal
Tester (+) lead !
Spark plug lead
Tester (–) lead !
Red/White Terminal
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
Replace the ignition coil.
