Recording Memos

The memo function offers the applications "external memo" and "internal memo".

External memo / announcement only

With this function, you can record a message which the caller can hear without being able to leave a message in return.

Press the OK key.
FUNCTION
Press the CURSOR LEFT or CURSOR RIGHT key to switch to the
external Memo mode.

Now press the OK key.
FUNCTION
Press the RECORD key.
RECORD
Wait briefly for the confirmation tone. Position yourself about 20 cm
from the fax machine. Start to speak. A black stripe shows the
available memory space.
Press RECORD or STOP when you have finished. The message will
be played back.
RECORD STOP
After playback the following messages will be displayed:

If you have already recorded a Memo:
OK If you have already recorded a Memo and want to use it again, press
the OK key.
FUNCTION
To record a new Memo, first make your selection with the CURSOR

LEFT and CURSOR RIGHT keys then press the OK key. Continue as

described above.

Internal Memo / "Note pad"

You can record a personal message with this function. Your fax machine thus becomes a "note-pad" for you and the
people around you. Messages can be heard on the fax machine itself or by remote control from a telephone.
