NOTE
Before installing unit, determine whether any building alterations are required to run piping,
wiring and ductwork. Carefully follow all unit dimensional drawings and refer to the
submittal engineering dimensional drawings of individual units for proper clearances.
5.1

Installation Considerations

The evaporator unit is usually mounted above the suspended ceiling of the space to be conditioned.
Ducted systems may be installed in a different room.
5.1.1

System Configurations

The typical system configuration has a separate evaporator or cooling unit and a condensing unit.
Chilled water systems are self-contained units. Refer to Tables 1 and 2 and to Figures 8, 9 and 10
for different system combinations and unit configurations that are possible.
