A repeater amplifies received signals and retransmits
them at a different frequency. When using a repeater,
the transmit frequency is shifted from the receive fre-
quency by an offset frequency. A repeater can be
accessed using split frequency operation with the
shift frequency set to the repeater's offset frequency.
q Set the offset frequency and turn ON the quick
split function in initial set mode in advance (p. 52).
• If the quick split function is turned OFF, both transmit
and receive must be set separately.
w Push [MODE] one or more times to select FM
mode, then set the receive frequency.

channels for quick and easy access to repeaters.

Push [POWER] to turn power OFF.
