If you use the motorcycle in the winter, you can expect to encounter salt on the roads. Precautions need to be taken against
road salt corrosion.
If the vehicle has been used on salted roads, clean it with cold water. Warm water intensifies the effects of salt.

Clean the motorcycle. (

Treat the engine, swingarm and all other bare or galvanized parts (except the brake
discs) with a wax-based anticorrosive.
Info
Avoid getting anticorrosive on the brake discs: this would badly affect the
braking.
After use on salted roads, clean the motorcycle thoroughly with cold water
and dry it properly.
