The readme file
SysBack documents the latest features and fixes since the last publication of the
user's guide in its readme files. After the product is installed, the readme file is
located in the /usr/lpp/sysback directory.
20.3 Integrating SysBack with Tivoli Storage Manager
SysBack V5.6 and later allows for the storage of backup objects into a Tivoli
Storage Manager server. Backups to a Tivoli Storage Manager server may be
manipulated like any other SysBack backup. They may be listed, verified,
restored, and used for system reinstallation.
Combining the SysBack backup, restore, and network boot/install functions with
a Tivoli Storage Manager server provides Bare Machine Recovery capability for
Tivoli Storage Manager configurations. SysBack will back up and recover a
system's volume group, logical volume, and file system information. Optionally,
SysBack will back up any non-rootvg data specified.
20.3.1 Prerequisites, limitations, and exclusions
To install Tivoli Storage Manager for System Backup and Recovery (also know
as SysBack) you must have the prerequisite software installed on your system.
