11.4 Running retrieve operations
The retrieve command obtains copies of archived files from the Tivoli Storage
Manager server. You can specify either selected files or whole directories to
retrieve archived files. The DESCRIPTION field allows you to search for the
descriptions assigned to the files when they were archived.
Table 11-7 gives examples of retrieve operations using a UNIX backup-archive
client.

Retrieve a single file (/home/myfile1).
Retrieve files from a directory (/home).
