High Resolution Mode

In Peak Detect mode at slower sweep speeds, minimum and
maximum samples are kept in order to capture infrequent and
narrow events (at the expense of exaggerating any noise). This
mode displays all pulses that are at least as wide as the sample
period (see
Table
12).

In High Resolution mode at slower sweep speeds, extra samples
are averaged in order to reduce random noise (and produce a
smoother trace on the screen).
The slower the sweep speed, the greater the number of samples
that are averaged together for each display point.
High Resolution mode is equivalent to the Averaging mode with
#Averages=1 (except you can still turn on Realtime sampling in
the High Resolution mode). Averaging has the effect of
increasing vertical resolution.
