Coolant, oils, brake fluid

To top up or lubricate:
z Coolant,
z Bra ke fluid,
z Manual tra nsmission oil
Consult a workshop. We recommend your
Vauxhall Approved Rep airer, who w ill
adv ise you of the c orrect products to use.
Im portant : The use of incorrect lubricants
and fluids can cause severe dama ge to
your vehicle.
Engine oils
For eng ine lubrication, we recomm end
using Vauxhall engine oils with the
following qualities and visc osities:
AC EA A3-/B3- SAE 0W-30
– or –
AC EA A3-/B3- SAE 5W-40
– or –
AC EA A3-/B3- SAE 10W-40
Engine oil q uality
When using comm ercially ava ilab le engine
oils, as a ma tter of princip le only those oils
that meet the m inim um quality
requirements specified in the following
table a re permissible.

I nform ation on AC EA c lassificati ons
The Association des C onstructeurs
Européens d'Autom obiles classifies engine
oils according to their perform ance
(quality).
Each category is given letters and
numbers, e.g. A3-98.
The letter indica tes the field of application:
A = Petrol engines in passenger ca rs
B = Diesel engines in pa ssenger cars
E = Diesel engines in trucks
The first number indica tes the quality in
ascending numerical order.
The second num ber " 98" signifies that the
ACEA classification is applicable as from
J anuary 1998. Higher year numb ers
indicate progressiv ely refined oil
classifications.
