Puncture

In order to minimise vehicle w eight the
VX220 is not fitted with a jack or a sp are
wheel.
It is recom mended that wheel changing
and jack ing of the vehicle are only carried
out by a workshop. We recommend your
Vauxhall Approved Rep airer.
However, if the vehicle needs to be lifted in
an emergency suitable ja cking points a re
indicated on the vehicle underbody by
stic kers.
Tem porary puncture repair
Retriev e the em ergency tyre inflator
aerosol from the front compartment.
Remove the object ca using the p uncture
and rotate the wheel so that the puncture
site is low ermost. Fully deflate the ty re.
Shake the can v igorously. In cold
conditions warm the can using the vehicle's
heater outlets.
S crew the aerosol tube on to the tyre valve
and remove the safety seal. Hold the ca n
upright and rota te the knob. Allow aerosol
to empty completely before rotating knob
in the opposite direction and disconnecting
the aerosol.
Im mediately d riv e for 6 to 12 miles (10 to
20 km) in a moderate manner and not
exceeding 30 mph (45 km/h) to a llow the
sealant to spread. Then check a nd inflate
tyres to operating pressure.
Use of the aerosol does not constitute a
permanent repair but is designed as an
emergency measure, to a llow the c ar to be
driven while a waiting tyre replacement.
The aerosol can be used for one repair
only, it must then be replaced. C onsult a
workshop. We recommend your Vauxhall
Approved Repairer.
z Do not drive with m ore than one repaired
tyre.
z Do not drive faster than 30 mph (45 km/
h).
z Take bends slow ly.
z Do not use the repaired wheel for a
lengthy period.
z Renew repa ired tyre without delay .
