Seat belts
Always keep seat belts clean and dry.
Clean only with lukew arm wa ter or Cleaner.
Windows
Use a soft fluff-free cloth or chamois
lea ther in conjunction with Window
Cleaning Spray .
Vauxhall Windscreen Wash Solvent is
suitab le for de-icing windows.
For mechanical removal of ice, use a
commercially a vailable sharp-edged ice
scraper. Press the sc ra per firmly against
the g lass so that no dirt can get und er it
and scratch the glass.
Winds creen wipe r blade
We recommend that a smearing wiper
blade be cleaned with a soft cloth and
Vauxhall Windscreen Wash Solvent, and
rep la ced if necessary.
Locks
The locks are lub ric ated b efore they leave
the factory with a high-grade lock cylinder
grease. Va ux ha ll loc k cylinder grease
prevents the locks from freezing up. Use
de-icing ag ents only in emergencies, as
they hav e a degreasing effect and will
impair the functioning of the locks. After
using de-icing agents re-g rease the locks.
Engine compartment
Important areas of the engine
compartment hav e b een prov ided with
permanent protection at the factory in the
form of a high-qua lity , smooth protective
lacquer coating. Pa rts of the engine
compartment lacquered in the same colour
as the vehicle's paintwork ca n be treated in
the same way as all painted surfaces.
Wash engine only if absolutely necessary.
Before w ashing the engine, protect
alternator and brake fluid container with
plastic covers.
When w ashing the engine with a steam-jet
cleaner, do not direct the steam jet at ABS
components or the belt drive and its
components.
Unde rbody
The underbody should be washed
following the end of the cold weather
season to remov e any dirt adhering to the
underbody .
