Waxing

Wax y our vehicle regularly, in particula r
after it ha s b een washed using shampoo
and at the latest when water no longer
forms bead s on the paintwork, otherwise
the p aintwork will dry out.
Never let things deteriorate this fa r.
Waxing prevents harmful chemical a ction.
Also wax edges and folds on opened doors
and flaps as well as the areas they cover.

Polishing

Polishing is necessary only if the paint has
become dull or if solid deposits have
become attached to it.
Polishing with silic one forms a protective
film, m aking wax ing unnecessa ry .
Whee ls
For alloy wheels we recommend use of
Alloy Wheel Cleaner.

Paint dam age
Minor p aint damage suc h as stone c hips,
scratches etc. should be treated
immed iately with Vauxhall Touch-Up Paint
or Aerosol. If surfac e crack ing is beginning
to form, consult a work shop. We
recommend your Vauxhall Approved
Repairer. Do not forget the surfaces a nd
edges nearest to the road where surface
cracks may also form unnoticed.
Exte rior lights
Head la mp and other protective lamp
covers are made of plastic. If the lamp
covers require a dditional clea ning after the
vehicle has been washed, clean them with
Car S ha mpoo. Do not use any abrasiv e or
caustic a gents, do not use an ice scraper,
and do not clea n them dry .
P lastic and rubber parts
For additional clea ning of pla stic and
rubber parts use Cleaner. Do not use a ny
other a gent, and in particular do not use
solvents or petrol.
Whe els and tyre s
Do not use high-pressure jet c leaners on
wheels and tyres.
Interior and upholste ry
C lean the vehicle trim, including the
instrument panel using Cleaner.
C lean fabric upholstery w ith a vacuum
cleaner and brush. For remov al of stains
use C leaner, which is suitable for both
fabrics and v iny l.
For cleaning fabrics, ca rp ets, the
instrument panel a nd leather trim 3 in the
vehicle interior, do not use cleaning agents
such as acetone, carbon tetrac hloride,
paint thinner, p aint remover, nail varnish
remover, wa shing powder or b leach. Petrol
is also unsuitable.
