Optional equip ment increa ses the kerb
weight and in some cases also the
permissib le gross vehicle weight. This in
turn increa ses fuel consumption and
reduces the m aximum speed of the v ehicle.
When the vehicle is new, there is increased
friction between the engine and
tra nsmission components lasting for
several thousand miles/kilometres. This
increases fuel consum ption.

C om mercially availab le high-quality fuels
are suitable. Fuel q uality has a decisive
influence on the p ow er output, drivea bility
and life of the engine. The additives
contained in the fuel pla y an important role
in this connection. You should therefore
use only high-quality fuels containing
add itiv es.
Fuel with too low an octane rating can
cause pink ing. Va ux hall cannot be held
liable for resulta nt damage.
Petrol with a hig her octane ra ting can
alway s be used .
Use unleaded fuel. A d ispensing pump for
leaded fuel cannot be inserted in the fuel
tank filler neck.
Use of petrol with an octane rating of 95
will ensure economical driv ing.
