X9SRH Motherboard Series User's Manual

SATA Mode

This item selects the mode for the installed drives. The options are Disabled, IDE
Mode, AHCI Mode and RAID Mode. The following are displayed depending on
your selection:

IDE Mode

The following items are displayed when IDE Mode is selected:

Serial-ATA Controller 0~1

This feature is used to activate/deactivate the SATA controller, and sets the
compatibility mode. The options for Serial-ATA Controller 0 are Disabled,
Enhanced and Compatible. The options for Serial-ATA Controller 1 are
Disabled and Enhanced.

AHCI Mode

The following items are displayed when AHCI Mode is selected:

Aggressive Link Power Management

When Enabled, the SATA AHCI controller manages the power usage of
the SATA link. The controller will put the link in a low power mode dur-
ing extended periods of I/O inactivity, and will return the link to an active
state when I/O activity resumes. The options are Enabled and Disabled.

Port 0~5 Hot Plug

Set this item to Enabled to enable hot-plugging for the particular port.
The options are Enabled and Disabled.

Port 0~5 Staggered Spin Up

Set this item to Enabled to enable Staggered Spin-up support. The options
are Enabled and Disabled.

RAID Mode

The following items are displayed when RAID Mode is selected:

SATA RAID Option ROM/UEFI Driver

Use this feature to enable the onboard SATA Option ROM or EFI driver.
The options are Enabled and Disabled.
Port 0~5 Hot Plug
Set this item to Enabled to enable hot-plugging for the particular port.
The options are Enabled and Disabled.
