Noise Rej (noise reject) decreases
the trigger sensitivity to reduce trig-
gering on signal noise.
Normal allows a waveform to be
displayed if a trigger signal is present
and the trigger conditions are met.
If there is no trigger signal, the oscil-
loscope does not trigger and the
display is not updated.
Normal trigger mode causes the
oscilloscope to begin filling the pre-
trigger buffer with data. When the
buffer is full, the oscilloscope will be-
gin searching for the trigger event.
When the trigger is event is found,
the oscilloscope fills the post-trigger
buffer and displays the acquisition
memory. Until the oscilloscope finds
the trigger, the acquisition will not
be displayed, and the oscilloscope
will search for the trigger indefinitely.
Pan the display means the acqui-
sition moves horizontally on screen
when you rotate the Delay knob. Pan-
ning the display adjusts the amount
of time between the trigger event
and the time reference point on the
display.
Peak Detection allows detection
of analog signal extremes as the sam-
ple rate is decreased in the 5 s to
50 ms/div time base settings.
Pixel memory See "Display mem-
ory."
Polarity selects either positive or
negative TV sync or Glitch pulses.
Position is a knob that moves a se-
lected signal vertically on the display.
Print copies the current display to
the attached printer. You must have
either an HP-IB, RS-232, or Centron-
ics/parallel Interface module to use
the print capability.
Print/Utility allows access to the
module menus, system config
menus, and service menus.
Probe allows selection of 1, 10, 20,
or 100 to match a probe's division ra-
tio so that the vertical scaling and
voltage measurements reflect the ac-
tual voltage levels at the tip of the
probe.
Recall Setup brings up a selected
front-panel setup that you saved to
one of the trace memories. Memory
selection is done with either a soft-
key or the Entry knob.
Roll mode is a horizontal display
mode that causes the waveform to
move across the screen from right to
left.
