Connect the signal generator to channel 1 using a 50- feedthrough
at the oscilloscope input.
Channel 1 is labeled "1" on HP 54645A and "A1" on HP 54645D.
Verify the trigger sensitivity at 25 MHz and 0.35 divisions.

Verify the trigger sensitivity at 100 MHz and 1 division.

Repeat steps 1 through 4, substituting channel 2 for channel 1 in the

procedure.

Set the signal generator to 25 MHz and about 100 mV.

Set the time base to 50 ns/div.
Set channel 1 to 100 mV/div.
Decrease the output of the signal generator until there is 0.35 vertical
divisions of the signal displayed.
The trigger should be stable. If the triggering is not stable, try
adjusting the trigger level. If adjusting the trigger level makes the
triggering stable, the test still passes. If adjusting the trigger does not
help, see "Troubleshooting the Oscilloscope."
Record the result on the Performance Test Record as Pass or Fail.
Change the output of the signal generator to 100 MHz and set
amplitude to about 100 mV.
Set the time base to 10 ns/div.
Decrease the output of the signal generator until there is 1 vertical
division of the signal displayed.
The trigger should be stable. If the triggering is not stable, try
adjusting the trigger level. If adjusting the trigger level makes the
triggering stable, the test still passes. If adjusting the trigger does not
help, see "Troubleshooting the Oscilloscope."
Record the result on the Performance Test Record as Pass or Fail.
