CONTROLLING
A SATELLITE
RECEIVER
The SAT button on the remote is programmed
to control the primary
functions
of a ProScan, RCA, or GE satellite
receiver.
REPROGRAM
THE
REMOTE
TO
OPERATE
YOUR
SATELLITE
RECEIVER
If the SAT button
accidentally
gets its programming
changed,
use the
codes below
to reprogram
it to operate
a ProScan,
RCA, or GE
satellite
receiver.
1.
Turn on the satellite
receiver.
2.
Point the DVD's remote at the component.
3.
Hold the SAT button and use the digit button to enter the correct code.
4.
Release the buttons.
5.
Press PWR on the remote.
If the satellite
receiver turns off,
reprogramming
is complete.
OPERATE
THE
SATELLITE
RECEIVER
1.
Point the remote at the satellite
receiver and press SAT.
2.
Try the buttons to see which
ones operate the satellite receiver.

Press the SAT button to set the remote to control
a compatible
receiver.
If you have a compatible
receiver, test the buttons to see which
buttons
operate the receiver. Some buttons may not work with every receiver.
CH+ and -
Use to select next higher or lower channel.
CLEAR
Use to remove menus from the TV screen.
Digits (0 through
9)
Use to select a channel
and menu items.
INFO
Use to select menu items and display
information.
MENU
Use to display
menus and select menu items.
MOVE
Arrows
Use to scroll through
the menus and select menu items.
PWR
Turns off a compatible
satellite
receiver when remote is set to
control
it. Press twice to turn off all compatible
components.
RETURN
Use to return to the last channel
selected.
