USING
THE
SUBTITLE
FEATURE
When a DVD is recorded with subtitles, you can use the Subtitle
feature to view the subtitles on-screen. The SUBTITLE ON/OFF
button on the remote (located beside the SUBTITLE button), turns
subtitling on or off. If the DVD has been recorded with subtitles,
they will appear on-screen.
Changing
the Subtitle
Language
(On the Player)
You can temporarily
change the initialized
subtitle
language
(provided
that additional
languages are recorded
on the DVD)
by
using the SUBTITLE button on the remote.
1.
Press SUBTITLE.
2.
Use the MOVE up or down arrows on the remote to select a
subtitle language.
Note:
When the player is turned on, the initialized subtitle language is
selected. If the disc does not contain the same initialized
language as that of the player, the "default" language is
automatically selected.

This feature is disc dependent
and may not work with all DVDs.
Make sure that the player's subtitle
feature
is turned
on, or the subtitling
will not appear
on-screen.
Initialized
Settings
"Initialized
settings"
are the settings
to which the player will default each
time
it is turned
on.
Any settings you change by usir_g the
features
listed on this page only
temporarily
override
the initialized
settings.
Use the Setup menu
of the DVD
player to change the initialized
settings. (See "Using
the Setup
Menu"
for more
details.)
