The ProScan PDVD6655-B DVD player may not play movies if:

1. The disc is not compatible. It supports DVD/DVD-R/DVD+R/DVD+RW/VCD/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3/HDCD/JPEG, but not Blu-ray.
2. The HDMI cable is not connected properly between the DVD player and TV.
3. The disc is damaged or dirty.
4. The DVD player is not set to the correct output resolution supported by your TV (480i, 480p, 576p, 576i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p).

Check these conditions to resolve playback issues.
