Accessing the code number services
A range of special safety and general maritime services, known as the code
number services, may be transmitted. The list on the next page shows the code
number services available.
To access a code number service do the following:
1. Using the text editor, prepare message requesting a code number service.
2. Press the [F3] key to open the Transmit menu.
3. Press the [1] key to display the Transmit Message menu.

4. Press the [↓] key twice to choose Destination Type.
5. Press the [Enter] key to open the destination type options window.
6. Press the [↓] or [↑] key to choose SPEC (Special).
7. Press the [Enter] key to close the window.
8. Press the [↓] key to choose Station ID.
9. Press the [Enter] key to open the station ID entry window.
10. Key in code number referring to the table on the next page.
11. Press the [Enter] key to close the window.
