Power-On Self Test

At each power-up or upon a reset command from the panel, the
modem will test the ROM code checksum, system RAM memory,
DSP code checksum, DSP RAM memory, EEPROM, digital
circuits, and the analog circuit calibrations.
If successful, the TST LED will be on during, and off after the test.
If the test fails the SQ LED will flash. The number of flashes will
indicate the error as specified by the table below:
0 SYSTEM TESTING
1 ROM TEST FIAL.... ROM code checksum error.
2 RAM TEST FAIL.... System RAM fails.
3 LOADING
4 DSP RAM FIAL...
5 DSP RAM FIAL...
6 VO CALIBRATION
7 VR CALIBRATION
.
....

INSTALLED IN
Self-test indicator. If no error occurs,
this message will last until the end of
the test.
The factory default settings will be
downloaded to the RAM and the self-
test will be re-initiated. This is not a
real error.
