RS-232 Interface Features — cont.

Hardware Flow Control

The imager transmits to the host regardless of
Disable Hardware Control —
any activity on the CTS line.
The CTS signal controls transmission of data
Enable CTS Flow Control —
to the host.
The CTS line must be active for the imager to
Enable CTS Scan Control —
read and transmit data. While the CTS line is inactive, the imager
remains in a host-disabled state; following a successful label transmis-
sion, the CTS signal must transition to inactive and then to active to
enable scanning for the next label.

Intercharacter Delay

This delay is inserted after each data character transmitted. If the trans-
mission speed is too high, the system may not be able to receive all char-
acters. You may need to adjust the delay to make the system work
properly.

Software Flow Control

Disables/Enables software control using XON/XOFF characters.
