Interleaved 2 of 5 — continued

Fixed Length Control

One or two fixed lengths may be configured for Interleaved 2 of 5.
Lengths must be even and must include any check digit that may be in
the bar code. If Length 1 or Length 2 are set to non-zero values, the min-
imum and maximum length settings are ignored. To disable fixed
lengths, set Length 1 and Length 2 to a value of 00.
To configure this feature:
1. Determine the length settings needed for Fixed Length 1 and Fixed
Length 2, then reference
find the corresponding hex values for your chosen lengths. Select-
able lengths are from 0x00 to 0x64 (from 0 to 100 decimal).
2. Scan the START bar code below.
3. Scan either the
Set Fixed Length 1
4. Turn to
Appendix B, Alpha-Numeric Pad
resenting the desired length. For example, scan 00 to disable the
feature, or 0A to set the length to 10.
5. Scan the SET bar code to accept the digits scanned.
6. Scan the END bar code to exit Programming Mode.
