3 Maintaining Your Deployment Database
Upgrading from HP ConfigTailor 1.0 to HP ConfigTailor 1.1
4 A Platform Selection screen will appear, allowing you to select those
HP Kayak PC Workstation models that you will support as clients on
your deployment database. If you wish to support additional HP
Kayak PC workstation platforms on your deployment database, you
should select them now. To add platform support at a later time,
refer to "Adding Platform-Support to your Deployment Database" on
page 42.
5 The next screen will ask you if you wish to add an operating system
language version to the deployment database. If you wish to add a
new operating system version, you may do so now. However, it is not
necessary to select an operating system version at this time—you
may do so once the upgrade is complete. Refer to "Add/Remove
Operating System Version" on page 36, for more information.
If you select any operating system language versions not already
present on the previous HP ConfigTailor deployment database, you will
be prompted to insert the appropriate Windows NT 4.0 CD-ROM(s) into
your server's CD-ROM drive.
6 Your HP ConfigTailor 1.0 database will now be upgraded to version
1.1. Pre-existing configuration profiles will be kept and for each
configuration profile, a software list (which is a new feature added to
HP ConfigTailor 1.1) will be generated for each configuration profile
as shown in the table that follows.
