Creating and Modifying Configuration Profiles using the Configuration Wizard Utility
During remote installation onto client PC workstations, the user will be
prompted to confirm or complete the information given in the
configuration profile, so certain information fields may be kept generic
or blank if needed. For more information on how the information given
in the configuration profile is presented to the users of client PC
workstations, please refer to "Remote Installation from a Deployment
Database to a Client PC workstation" on page 43.
a User Information - (The window shown on page 22.) This is
where you specify information about the users of the client PC
workstations. The fields are: user name, company name,
computer name, OS license number, time zone, keyboard layout,
and for HP ConfigTailor 1.0 only, OS language. You are required
to fill in those fields marked with an asterix, but the others may
be left blank, to be filled in by the user of each client PC
workstation. Note that in the OS license number field, you must
either fill in a valid license number or leave the field completely
blank.
1. Only the HP ConfigTailor 1.1 version is shown. The HP ConfigTailor 1.0
version is similar but the contains another field entitled "OS Language".
