2 How to Create a Deployment Database

Setting up Software Lists (HP ConfigTailor 1.1 Only)

The HP ConfigTailor toolbar contains six icons corresponding to the
different utilities you need to create and maintain your deployment
database as well as an online help utility. These utilities will be
described later in this chapter and in Chapter 3.
Setting up Software Lists (HP ConfigTailor 1.1 Only)
After having installed HP ConfigTailor 1.1, the next step in setting up a
deployment database is the creation of software list(s).Default
software lists for each platform selected during Installation (see page
13) will be created automatically, but you may also create your own, or
customize the default software lists.
NOTE If you have installed HP ConfigTailor 1.0, go directly to "Creating and
Modifying Configuration Profiles using the Configuration Wizard Utility"
on page 20. If you want to upgrade to HP ConfigTailor 1.1, refer to
"Upgrading from HP ConfigTailor 1.0 to HP ConfigTailor 1.1" on page
39.
To open the Software List Manager, click on its icon in the HP
ConfigTailor toolbar or select Start>HP ConfigTailor>
