2 How to Create a Deployment Database
Setting up Software Lists (HP ConfigTailor 1.1 Only)
3 HP ConfigTailor will scan the deployment database for those device
drivers and software packages applicable to the platform specified,
and they will appear in the scrolling window on the left. Select those
packages that you wish to include in the new software list by
highlighting them and clicking on Add. The selected packages will
appear in the right scrolling window.
You can view the properties (version number, manufacturer, etc.) of
each driver or software package by double-clicking on them, or by
highlighting and clicking on Properties.
4 When you have selected all of the drivers and software packages you
desire in the software list, in the "Software list" menu, select "Save",
or click on the "Save" icon on the menu bar, to save your software
list.

Modifying an existing software list

Before modifying a software list, you must first ensure that it is not
currently being used by clients as part of a configuration profile. If you
attempt to alter a software list that is linked to any configuration
profiles, a warning message will result. Please refer to page 27 for
information on how to unlink a software list from a configuration profile.
1 Open the software list you wish to delete, either from the Software
List Manager introduction window (shown on page 16) or by
selecting "Open" in the "Software list" menu of the Software List
manager window.
