Installing a License
In Business Continuity Manager versions 5.0 to 5.3, a license obtained in Business Continuity
Manager versions 4.0 to 4.2 is treated as follows:
A permanent license can be used without reinstallation.
A temporary license or emergency license cannot be used as they are. They need to be
reinstalled.
Specifying Business Continuity Manager Log Output Destination (LOGPUT)
Business Continuity Manager before version 4.2 does not support the &YKLOGPT system symbol.
Therefore, in an environment where Business Continuity Manager earlier than version 4.2 and
Business Continuity Manager 4.2 or later exist, to specify the Business Continuity Manager log
output method, HP recommends that you execute the YKSETENV command with the LOGPUT
parameter specified.
Specifying Whether to Output the CLI Command-Execution Logs (SYSLOG)
The setting made by executing the YKSETENV command (of Business Continuity Manager earlier
than version 5.1) with SYSLOG=YES specified has the same effect as the setting made by executing
the YKSETENV command (of Business Continuity Manager 5.1 or later) with no SYSLOG parameter
specified.
The following tables explain whether the CLI command-execution logs are output in an environment
where multiple versions of Business Continuity Manager exist:
If the settings are made with the YKSETENV command of a version of Business Continuity
Manager earlier than version 5.1
System with a version of Business Continuity Manager
