Chapter 1
CAUTION
Tip-over hazard exists. Servers are heavy and may be
awkward to position on their mounting rails. Therefore,
always minimize the weight to be mounted into the rack by
removing power supplies modules and hard disk modules
from the NetServer.
Once each component is correctly secured in the rack, add the front panel
(bezel) to the unit.
Proceed with units one by one, from the bottom of the rack to the top. Fill
any gaps with spacer panels.

Connect and Route Cables
NOTE
Illustrated information about cabling the HP NetServer LPr in
the rack is available in Chapter 2 of this reference, which
describes the procedures for connecting and routing cables.
Generally, follow these steps to ensure cables are correctly connected and
managed:
Cable management preparation
Determine which components will be connected to each server.
Attach Cable Guides to the rack column. See instructions included with
Cable Guides.
Mount Power Distribution Unit (PDU) or Units.
Attach data cables
Plan where data connections are to be made.
Attach data cables to the server. Mark the ends of data cables with colored
tie-wraps and labels that come along with each server. This simplifies the
attaching of cables later in the procedure.
Attach data cables to their respective components.
