3. Remove the server cover.
4. Remove the 2 SAS signal cables from the I/O board.
5. Remove the battery:
a. Use one finger to press the top of the battery clip away from the battery.
b. Lift and remove the battery from the socket.
6. Insert the new battery:
a. Position the battery so that the positive (+) symbol is facing away from you.
b. Use one finger to press the top of the battery clip away from the battery.
c. Press the battery into the socket until it clicks into place. Make sure that
the battery clip holds the battery securely.
7. Reconnect the 2 SAS signal cables to the I/O board.
8. Reinstall the server cover.
9. Reconnect the external cables; then, reconnect the power cords and turn on
the peripheral devices and the server.
Note: You must wait approximately 20 seconds after you connect the power
cord of the server to an electrical outlet before the power-control button
becomes active.
10. Start the Configuration/Setup Utility program and set configuration parameters.
v Set the system date and time.
v Set the power-on password.
v Reconfigure the server.
