Setting Network Addressing

The procedure for setting Ethernet, Token Ring and Novell values requires a different
keying technique than does the basic menu navigation to set values for other menu items.
While the example below sets the Ethernet IP address, the technique is basically the same
for setting any of the following:

To set the Ethernet IP address:
At the front panel, press Menu Up

Ethernet Menu

Press Item Up or Item Down until you see:

IP Address

Press Value Up or Value Down and you will see:
IP Address
000.000.000.000
if no address has been assigned (otherwise you will see the current value for the IP address). The
underline indicates the position of the cursor, which starts at the first digit.

To change the value of the first digit, press Value Up
IP Address
100.000.000.000

Press Value Up again and you will see:

200.000.000.000
Continue pressing Value Up until you have set the correct value for the first digit. (Pressing
Value Down will reduce the value of the digit by one.)
